Dr. Hunt was born and
raised in the GTA. He attendedYork
University and a year at the
University of
Alberta before acceptance to
the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Dr. Hunt graduated Cum Laude in
1983 from the Canadian
College.
While starting his practice, he
also acted as a tutorial instructor and tutor with the Anatomy Department
at the CMCC for 3 years following his graduation. Dr. Hunt has practiced in the GTA
for 23 years, and recently opened a practice in
Keswick,
ON.
Chiropractic, translated
from the Greek origin means ‘treatment by hand’. Dr. Hunt was trained to manipulate
the spine at the CMCC. That is what chiropractors do, and what Dr. Hunt
believes is the most effective form of treating clients. For
individuals who may not be comfortable with a manipulative approach,
non-manipulative techniques offered include active muscle techniques,
joint mobilization without manipulation, soft tissue therapy, activator,
interferential current, TENS, ultrasound and laser acupuncture.
A combined 27 years of practice
and training allows Dr. Hunt to assess a clients complaint and offer a
number of different treatment approaches for any one particular problem,
including manipulative and non-manipulative techniques. The treatment plan is decided with
the client and based on their comfort level with the techniques. At each location Dr. Hunt works with Registered Massage Therapists,
to offer their services in conjunction to your chiropractic care, or if
more appropriate for the client, as an alternative
therapy.
Is Dr. Hunt the right
Chiropractor for you?
Dr.
Hunt prefers to focus on the source of your pain and discomfort, not just
the symptoms.
He uses evidence based, safe treatments that
work.
Studies have found chiropractic to be extremely safe and most
effective in alleviating back pain, neck pain, headaches, and most other
musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Hunt has a special interest in working with patients
experiencing problems with shoulder, knee, and TMD
(temporomandibular disorder).
Dr. Hunt will try to isolate where the biomechanical
dysfunctions are located, correlate these to the history and physical
exam, and develop a program designed for you according to your treatment
needs.
He will work hard with you, to get you to where you want to be
regarding your presenting complaint/pain and your overall spinal health,
as fast as nature will allow.
Plain and simple…
Chiropractic as it should be...
find it, fix it and don’t fool with
it!
